History
The television transmitter at Stockland Hill entered service in April 1961 along with that at Caradon Hill. The 1959 Network map shows both television sites with "programmed" links from the Bristol/Exeter/Plymouth route which itself was "existing or under construction".
As with most other sites related to the early television network the Post Office was very likely provided with accommodation within the main building and a dish on the broadcast mast and the site was probably not used for by the PO/BT for other purposes.
